Around Town, Part 2.

Some shots of my summer so far. Memorial Day, 4th of July, and everything in between with stops in Manayunk, Pretzel Park, Spruce Street Harbor Park, Chestnut Hill, and more.

Taqueria Feliz has PINK tables. ♥ ♥ ♥

As if that isn’t enough reason to visit, I like to go on Sangria Sundays (it’s a thing) for reduced price sangria and sangria pitchers. And their guac is on point. Also really like their wasabi-crusted ahi tuna tacos. It sounds weird, but it totally works.

If you’re ever in Philly, you have to check out Spruce Street Harbor Park. My niece recently visited and we were looking for something to do that would be fun for both us AND a young teenager. This park has hammocks, floating barges, neon colored chairs, an arcade, floating gardens, a canopy of lights (nightly light shows!), street-fare food, ice cream, funnel cake (!!!), shuffleboard, bocce, fountains to play in, kayak/canoe/swan boat rentals, and giant versions of chess and connect four.

I LOVE this place!

  2. Great pictures! Sangria Sunday sounds right up my alley!

  3. Beautiful! I live in Roxborough and love seeing all of your local check-ins. One day I will bump into you and buy you a drink (or Jude a doggy bone)!!!

  4. Your pictures are beautiful! You really capture the beauty in everything! I am thrilled you have made a second blog based on photography. I can’t wait to hear more about your journeys through pictures and food!

  5. I’m so thrilled for you and this new space of yours Sally!  You’ve taught me so much about baking and now I get to feed one of my other loves, photography!  Your photos are always exactly what I’d love to see and you capture moments so well.  If I’m ever in the USA I will definitely be looking here as a point of reference for places to hang out…and secretly hoping I bump into you!

  6. You definitely inspired my best friend and I to meet in Philly last weekend and go to Taqueria Feliz.  Give the coconut basil margarita a try next time, so good!

  7. You have a great eye for capturing photos! My dad has the same gift as you, and I enjoy learning from him the art of photography. I still have a lot to learn!
P.S. Summer Shandy is my favorite go-to summer beer 🙂

  8. I love your photographs! It feels as if you inject life into it! Good job
